Urban Paradise – Corsair is a really special little dam with some true gems that reside in it. The Dam has a good stock of carp including some huge Grass carp and a few stunning Mirrors.
The lake record carp is a 14.7kg Chunky Common and then there are at least 2 big Grass carp that pull the scales over the 15kg mark.
Exclusive Specimen Carp Fishing with warm water showers and a jetty accompanied by a quality boat. The dam accomodates up to 4 anglers only.

RULES
Venue
- Paying anglers only allowed on site. Any visitors or guests must be included in the booking.
- Arrival/departure times are non-negotiable.
All gates must be shut at all times. Please ensure the gate closes behind you. - Max vehicle speed 5mph at all times.
- Only stop in designated car park.
- Angler’s bivvies to be pitched in the designated swims.
Respect your fellow anglers and keep within the stated swim boundaries. - Intoxicated and/or disruptive anglers will be asked to leave the lake.
- No Dogs are allowed on site
- Anglers must use the Braai provided. No fires on the ground.
- Do not cut trees or foliage under any circumstances.
- No Petrol motors allowed for boats
- Maximum of three rods per angler and they must all be in the same swim.
- Ensure the swim is completely clean ( from all rubbish including sigerette buds) before leaving
Carp Care
- Strictly Catch & Release
- Every angler must have a suitable carp landing net, unhooking mat and weigh sling.
- You must have suitable carp care liquid for treating injuries on landed fish. All hook holds must be treated.
- Unhooking mats are compulsory and must be a minimum of 1.5” thick unless using an elevated, cradle type mat. No fish may touch the ground or grass.
- Fish must be lifted from the water in a weigh sling. Ensuring fins are tucked away to the side.
- Grascarp are not to be retained under any circumstances
- Fish can be retained for no longer than 2 hours (retainer slings only, NO carpsacks allowed) and must be out of water for the minimum time possible. (no longer than 5 minutes)
- All fish must be weighed and photographed safely in the swim they are landed from.
- All catches must be reported to the Fishery manager
- Any dead fish or fish that look to be distressed or injured, please inform the fishery manager immediately.
Baits
- Pellets, boilies, maize and floaters only.
- All particles MUST be freshly prepared.
- No Tigernuts, Peanuts, or other Nuts allowed.
- All spombs/spods/bait rockets must float.
Rigs
- No long shank nailer (long, curved shank) style hooks. Standard long shank hooks are fine.
- Zig rigs on one rod only.
- Minimum breaking strain line 15lb.
- Minimum reel line is 0.35mm or 0.33mm if using tapered line.
- No Braided Mainline – Mono or Fluorocarbon only.
- Leads must eject or pull free easily.
- Leadcore/fused leaders must not be more than 1m long.
- Nothing fixed (swivel) on the line behind the lead system except putty.
